NOVA STEAM Academy
Welcome to NOVA STEAM Academy. My name is Dr. Toni Joubert, and I am honored to serve as the Founder and CEO of this transformative educational community. I am an educator, innovator, mentor, wife, and visionary leader who has spent my career building spaces where scholars are not only taught—but truly seen, heard, and inspired.
Before founding NOVA, I launched Small Creations Development Center, an early childhood program rooted in nurturing the whole child. That experience laid the foundation for my belief that great schools must do more than deliver content—they must cultivate purpose.
NOVA STEAM Academy was born from that same belief, expanded through my work as an Engineering Teacher, CTE Department Head, College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and College Counselor. I created this academy for scholars who are ready to think boldly, lead confidently, and shape a future that doesn’t yet exist.
At NOVA, college and career readiness doesn’t begin in high school—it begins with a mindset. Starting in eighth grade, our scholars are immersed in a purpose-driven journey to dream boldly, discover their passions, and design their futures with intention.
Through hands-on exploration, advanced coursework, and early access to industry-recognized certifications, NOVA scholars don’t just imagine possibilities—they build them. Whether they’re earning credentials in engineering, technology, or digital design, presenting at expos, or pitching solutions to real-world challenges, our scholars are equipped with the tools, confidence, and vision to lead in college, in careers, and in life. This is not preparation for the future—this is living it now.
What sets NOVA apart isn’t just our STEAM focus—it’s our scholar-centered philosophy. We believe education should be immersive, empowering, and deeply personal.
